This Cyber Security Consultant role is an exciting new position at the core of our Cyber Security services.

You will be influential in shaping the new Cyber Security products being offered to our clients across multiple platforms, predominantly Microsoft Cloud services with some on-site infrastructure.

Whilst your existing Cyber Security experience is obviously important, we’re also looking for someone who can bring a lot to the table through understanding the needs of our clients, proposing and then delivering the best solutions to exceed client expectations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with great Cyber Security knowledge and experience who is eager to shape, define and deliver brand new security services for ramsac’s clients! You will be trail blazing in order that we can build a team around the solutions.

On a day to day basis you will:

  • Shape, influence and deliver our Cyber Security products and offerings to clients.
  • Performing Cyber Security audits for clients, embodying the principles of “Security by Design”, and presenting recommendations to improve a client’s security position and safeguard their customers’ data.
  • Deliver Cyber Security Consultancy for existing and new clients, including helping develop their security policies and processes.
  • Own the Cyber Essentials process for our clients.
  • Shaping our Cyber Response plans to ensure that security incidents are acted upon appropriately within agreed SLAs, and actions taken to prevent or mitigate further exposure.
  • Keeping up to date with security trends to ensure that we are offering clients the best protection possible.
  • Identifying new opportunities to grow our internal Cyber Security capabilities as well as deliver new offerings to clients.

The following skills are critical for the role:

  • 2-5 years existing Cyber Security expertise.
  • Passion in Cyber Security, with a core understanding of fundamental concepts and eagerness to stay up to date with the changing security landscape and emerging trends or vulnerabilities.
  • Self-sufficient, able to explore potential leads and ideas with minimal direction or guidance.
  • Ability to explain security concepts to non-technical client contacts in a jargon-free way.
  • Natural curiosity to challenge the status quo and identify innovative ways to improve services for our clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage ambiguity.
