Stores / Warehouse Person 

Focusing on great customer service from our inception we dedicated to exceeding expectations in the supply of new and refurbished IT Datacentre equipment. 

Supplying both retail and trade clients across Europe and beyond, we have been trading nearly 20 years and have earnt a reputation for trust and communication with our clients and we look to build upon long term relationships in a competitive industry.  

We are looking to expand our team by and now have an opening for a Stores / Warehouse Person 

What do we want - Warehouse Store Person;

To help in various important tasks within our workshop and warehouse area, focusing on goods in and out and stock management.

To include:

Receiving goods into our warehouse and booking into inventory management system.

Picking components / bill of materials for workshop technicians to test and assemble prior to shipping.

Picking orders that do not require testing.

Careful packing of goods for shipping to clients.  Parcels can be made up of small components through to a pallet of server systems sometimes weighing in excess of 500Kg, but protecting both the product and the company's reputation is essential so care and attention is critical.

Estimating weight and dimensions of parcels for pre-sales shipping cost enquiries.

Safe use of pallet truck or forklift truck within the warehouse to move equipment as required.

Booking delivery shipments with carriers using web-based shipping platform.

Generating courier labels and attaching to the parcels ensuring Commercial Invoices are included with any international shipments as necessary.

Sending despatch confirmation emails to clients to include tracking information from our CRM system.

Managing any incoming emails from clients regarding delivery issues, ensuring communication is passed to relevant team to manage.

Record management - updating systems if any delivery address issues are encountered to avoid future issues.

Ensuring GDPR rules are adhered to with documentation and customer records.

Manage stock levels of packing material to a reasonable level and liaising with office manager when items require replenishing.

Requirements:

Experience in a small business environment.  It can be quiet when people are focused on tasks in hand.

Proficient in computer use, standard Office Suite and web-based platforms, training as required.

Good at prioritising tasks, ability to multi task.

And would be nice...

The safe use of a forklift around the building is necessary.  Training can be provided  .

Some local delivery or collection of equipment may be necessary, the company has it's own vehicle for this purpose, so a clean driving licence would be beneficial.  We do not do this on a regular basis so should not be a main part of the role.

The Benefits :

Salary - £21-22k

On-site parking

Annual holiday allowance 20 days increasing to 23 after 3yrs service and 25 after 5yrs service (plus bank holidays)

Working Hours :

Our office is open from 8:30am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, but the roll can be flexible around those hours and is for upto 37.5hrs per week.   Peak time for this role is between 11am and 4pm.
